R&D environment

The NBZ is embedded in the Science Park, which consists of the physics and chemistry departments, the Center for Nanotechnology (CeNTech), the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine and several pre-clinical and clinical facilities of the university hospital.

The close neighbourhood to this unique research environment provides the local companies with direct and privileged access to state of the art basic research and technologies together with a comprehensive selection of biomedical materials including patient samples. The networking of all the local actors and institutions is facilitated by the local network bioanalytik-muenster, which also supports connecting the local actors with partners in NRW, Germany and all over Europe.
